Victoria Beckham said all she and her husband, David Beckham, have “ever tried to do” was “protect and love” their four children as she broke her silence on the family’s estrangement from son Brooklyn.
The former Spice Girl addressed the matter for the first time during an interview with the Wall Street Journal published Thursday.
“I think that we’ve always – we love our children so much,” Victoria, 51, said, although she didn’t refer to Brooklyn by name. “We’ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be.”
She continued, “And you know, we’ve been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we’ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children. And you know, that’s all I really want to say about it.”
Victoria and Brooklyn’s reps did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
