Vic Mensa Signs With ColorCreative (EXCLUSIVE)

EXCLUSIVE: ColorCreative has signed musician, actor, and filmmaker Vic Mensa for management. He’ll be repped by the company’s co-founder and president, Talitha Watkins, and Trey Witter.

“Vic is a true artist who moves fluidly between hip-hop, acting, activism, fashion, and entrepreneurship without ever losing focus on his cultural impact. We’ve long admired his fearless commitment to his craft and his community,” said Watkins. “We couldn’t be more excited to stand beside him supporting his work.”

Coming off a Webby Award win for his digital series Orange Trees, Mensa is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans music, film, and social advocacy, often exploring connections between Africa and the African diaspora through cross-medium storytelling.

In music, Mensa rose to prominence with early projects like Innanetape and his 2017 debut album The Autobiography, which he followed up with Victor (2023) and the independent EP sundiata (2025). He has collaborated with artists including Kanye West, Jay-Z, Pharrell Williams, and Pusha T, earning nominations from the Grammys, NAACP Image Awards, and mtvU Woodie Awards.

Alongside his music career, Mensa has built an acting resume with roles on Showtime’s The Chi, HBO’s South Side, and Peacock’s Bel-Air. He is also an emerging filmmaker, with his extended music video for the song “Blue Eyes” earning Best Cinematography at the 2025 Conero Film + ADV Festival. His short film Halfrican, which he wrote and starred in, continues its run on the festival circuit after premiering at SXSW 2026.

Co-founded by Issa Rae, Deniese Davis, and Talitha Watkins, ColorCreative reps clients including Robert Townsend (The Bear), Sanaa Lathan (The Best Man: The Final Chapters), Syreeta Singleton (Rap Sh!t), Lawrence Lamont (One of Them Days), Daniel Ings (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms), Avantika (Not Suitable for Work), Bishal Dutta (It Lives Inside), Emmanuel Osei Kuffour (Shōgun), Kira Kalush (Ghosts), Michele Giannusa (Ripple), Jan Oxenberg (Manhunt), Yuka Kouri (Shōgun), and Suraj Sharma (The Night Agent). Most recently in film, they produced TriStar’s comedy One of Them Days, starring Keke Palmer and SZA, which debuted at #1, both at the box office upon its January release, and when it hit Netflix last April.

Mensa will continue to be represented by Buchwald.
