Montreal-based Games of Thrones, Stranger Things, The Rings of Power, John Wick: Chapter 4 and Dune VFX firm Rodeo FX has announced the opening of a studio in Bangalore, India.
The new hub, which marks the company’s first studio in Asia, joins offices in Montreal, Quebec, Toronto, Los Angeles and Paris.
The Bangalore studio, which will become fully operational this summer, will be fully integrated into Rodeo FX’s global pipeline, to support productions across film, episodic, animation, advertising, and immersive experiences and help scale production capacity across the group.
“India is home to an exceptional pool of talent,” said Sebastien Moreau, CEO & Founder of Rodeo FX. “Opening in Bangalore allows us to better integrate this expertise into our global pipeline while offering greater flexibility and efficiency to our clients.”
The announcement of the Bangalore studio comes just two weeks after Rodeo Rodeo FX inaugurated a new bigger Paris studio bringing all its French divisions, including 2025 acquisition Mikros Animation, under one roof. The company originally expanded into France in 2024.
Located in the International Tech Park Bangalore, the 40,000-square-foot studio will accommodate up to 400 artists and serve as a scalable hub supporting both Rodeo FX and Mikros Animation activities.
“This new studio gives us the opportunity to reconnect with many talented artists,” said Julien Meester, President of Mikros Animation. “We’re proud to bring this community back together and build on that foundation within Rodeo FX’s global network.”
Sivaraman S T, who has been previously part of the Mikros Animation leadership team, has been appointed Head of Studio and will oversee the Bangalore studio across all business lines.
“This is an exciting moment for us,” said Sivaraman. “We’re building on a strong team and culture as we grow the Bangalore studio into a key hub within the global network.”
Jordan Soles, Senior Vice-President of Rodeo FX, said the company’s expansion into India as a logical step in its growth strategy.
“This new studio strengthens our presence in the region while complementing the partnerships we’ve built with our local collaborators,” said Soles.
