Teddi Mellencamp is always keeping it real amid her cancer battle.
This time, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star took to her Instagram on Thursday to ask for hairstyling tips from her fans and fellow cancer survivors as she gets used to a new length of her hair as it grows back following brain surgery. But in doing so, she also posted a very raw picture revealing her scars!

In the second slide of her post, she uploaded a close-up shot of her shaved head showing two large scars.
She also included a selfie with her signature long ‘do and expressed gratitude for the wigs she’s relied on until now. As for why she needs assistance, she explained:
“But my question now is, now what? The hair is too long for the wigs and I’m sick of the wigs. But like, what are we supposed to do here?”

Whoa. Her hair has really come a long way since the surgery! It must feel really nice to see that improvement and to start to feel more and more like herself as she continues this health journey!
But, uhhh, she needs some expert help — cause when she enlisted her son Cruz for his style tips, it didn’t quite go as planned:
