EXCLUSIVE: Underscore Talent has hired Lital Spitzer and is formally launching a theatrical division.
The L.A.-based agency expects the addition of Spitzer to mark a “significant expansion of the company’s footprint into scripted film and television.” She will bring a roster of clients, including Esther McGregor (Babygirl), Alex Consani (Peaked), Charlotte Nicdao (Mythic Quest), and Esther Ming Li (Snowpiercer).
Spitzer held positions at Miramax, The Weinstein Company and A+E, before moving into management, where shen spent over a decade at 3 Arts Entertainment representing actors, producers and filmmakers, while also developing film and TV projects.
At Underscore, she will attempt to build out TV and film working, managing actors and identifying new talent in scripted entertainment. The theatrical division, now formalized, will work with talent on long-term development and career building within scripted, but also use Underscore’s ecosystem of creator-led talent to “meaningfully enhance opportunities.”
“This is a natural evolution of what we’ve been building at Underscore,” said Reza Izad, the agency’s co-founder and co-CEO. “We’ve always believed in supporting talent across every stage of their careers, and we’re very intentional about how we approach film and television. Lital brings a deep understanding of the traditional business, strong relationships, and a thoughtful approach to guiding talent. That perspective is critical as we continue to grow this part of the company.”
“I am excited to join the dynamic team at Underscore Talent, with its stalwart insight into the ever-evolving nature of this industry,” added Spitzer. “We are committed to helping artists navigate the new film and television landscape with unique opportunities and a collaborative approach.”
The hire comes months after Underscore unveiled a host of hires, including Sachi Ezura, who was previously VP, Adult Animation at Paramount.
