EXCLUSIVE: Independent film producer Tomik Mansoori, whose recent films include One In A Million, starring Ashley Greene and Lou Diamond Phillips, and Blood Behind Us, with the late Michael Madsen and Jaime King, has launched Texas-based banner Revival Films.
The former Silver Sail Entertainment exec and co-founder of the Mammoth Film Festival will focus on feature development, creative producing, and production services for both internally developed titles and third party projects.
Originally based in LA, Mansoori is now based in Dallas–Fort Worth and will premiere One In A Million and Blood Behind Us at this month’s Dallas International Film Festival.
“Revival Films represents where I am creatively and professionally right now,” said Mansoori. “I wanted to build a company that reflects how I actually work — developing projects from the earliest stages, staying close to the creative, and staying fully engaged through every phase of production.”
He added: “There’s a reason more filmmakers are paying attention to Texas. The scale is here, the locations are here, and the opportunity is here. But to really take advantage of it, you need people on the ground who know how to connect a project’s creative ambition with the practical realities of getting it made well. That’s exactly what Revival is built to do. Those films premiering at DIFF are a strong reflection of the way I produce. I’m deeply involved in the development and strategic side of a project, but I’m also a hands-on producer who believes in being in the trenches every day to make sure filmmakers feel supported and the work is executed the right way. Revival Films was built to do both.”
