SXSW London: Olivia Wilde’s ‘The Invite’ Among 2026 Festival Titles

Olivia Wilde’s buzzy comedy The Invite and Marc by Sofia, the first documentary feature from Sofia Coppola, are among the titles that will receive UK Premieres as part of the screen programme at this year’s SXSW London festival.

The event’s screen programme will run from June 1–6. Scroll down for the full lineup.

Other programme highlights include Jane Schoenbrun’s Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma, which will arrive in London following its debut in the Un Certain Regard competition at Cannes.

World premiere titles include The Playoffs from director Bruno Safadi, The Boy With Light-Blue Eyes (Dir: Thanasis Neofotistos), Test (Dir: Sam McConnell), and James – Getting Away With It (Dir: Chris Atkins). There will also be a Special Screening in collaboration with Silents Synced of the 1928 silent classic, The Man Who Laughs. The film has been re-scored with music from The Cure.

Anna Bogutskaya, Head of the Screen Festival at SXSW London, said the event is reconfirming its “commitment to global storytelling in all its forms” with its second edition.

“I see the Screen Festival as the natural melting point of SXSW London as a whole, of the sounds championed by our music programme and the ideas platformed in the conference,” she said. “ In the selection of films, series, and XR projects this year, we are platforming future-focused storytellers that help us navigate growing uncertainty.”
