‘Summer House’ Spinoff ‘In The City’ Filmed “New Scene” To Address Amanda Batula & West Wilson’s Romance After Ciara Miller Betrayal

Bravo is launching a Summer House spinoff, In the City, which follows some of the cast members as they navigate life in the Big Apple.

The reality series, filmed in Fall 2025, touches on Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke‘s marital woes. However, the show had wrapped when Batula and Cooke announced their separation earlier this year, and when Batula and co-star, West Wilson, confirmed their relationship.

Production for Summer House had already been completed when the bombshell of Batula and Wilson betraying Ciara Miller had dropped, but it was not too late for In the City. Cameras picked up for the spinoff to address the romance that shook the Bravoverse to its core and has been dubbed “Scamanda.”

In the City, which launches in a couple of weeks — you’ll see in the first episode we have a new scene that we shot with a couple of the cast members,” Frances Berwick, NBCUniversal’s Chairman, Bravo & Peacock Unscripted, told The Ankler. “So, we did pick it up there, but we just didn’t feel like that was the right thing to do on Summer House.”

Berwick noted that it came “back to the emotional well-being of the cast members,” and didn’t “think that was right,” to film a scene with high emotions over the scandal, adding, “We did take a beat before we covered that. And that was obviously in the reunion last week; as everyone now knows, we taped the reunion last week.”

In the City is set to premiere on Tuesday, May 19 at 9 p.m. ET, the same night that the Summer House Season 10 finale airs.

The new reality series will follow the lives Kyle Cooke, Lindsay Hubbard, Amanda Batula, Danielle Olivera, Eoin Heavey, Andrea Denver, Lexi Sundin, Nick Barber, Yvonne Najor, Georgina Ferzil, Whitney Fransway, Kenny Martin, Gavin Moseley and Katie Arundel as they navigate the biggest transitions of their lives at the time – marriage, separation, parenthood, reinvention and the reality of growing up without growing apart.

A brief breakdown of the Summer House situation for those not versed on the Bravo reality series is that Ciara and West had a thing about two seasons ago. However, things didn’t work out as West was not ready to commit to Ciara, and she only learned about this through a New York Times interview. The current season airing on Bravo (which was filmed in the summer of 2025) shows West and Ciara being flirty with each other again, giving some viewers hope that they could give love a shot or at least be friendly around the house.

However, in real time, as the show aired, there was speculation that Amanda (who announced her separation from Kyle Cooke in early 2026) and West were linked. Despite West and Amanda denying the rumors on Cohen’s late-night talk show Watch What Happens Live, they both released a joint statement confirming they had developed feelings for each other.

The contrasting things viewers are seeing on Summer House Season 10, with Amanda being supportive of Ciara as she still seemingly harbors feelings for West, clash with Amanda and West now being a couple and parading their love publicly at bars and baseball games. Viewers have come to question how Amanda betrayed her friendship with Ciara and why West was being flirty with Ciara if he had no intentions of actually mending the past.
