The “First Take” host, 58, questioned why Megan, 31, “couldn’t just break up” and “go on [her] merry way.”

“How come you couldn’t just say, ‘We had our time together, but I’m back being single again. Klay Thompson and I are no longer together.’ And leave it at that. Why we got to dog the brother out?” Smith asked.

“Is there a wedding that I missed? [Were] there nuptials that took place that nobody knew about? Did we sit up there before God and say, ‘Yo, here’s what we doing,’” he added.

The ESPN personality then pointed out how the public hasn’t heard anything from Thompson, 36, amid all of the allegations.

“Klay ain’t bothering nobody. Klay been playing basketball. … This man is going to go down as one of the greatest shooters ever. And no matter how he lived his personal life, he didn’t bother anybody. And I’ve never seen him utter a negative word about Megan the Stallion,” Smith shared.

“He doesn’t deserve that. He’s a great NBA player and a future Hall of Famer,” he added.

Page Six has reached out to Megan’s rep for comment but did not immediately hear back.

However, the Seattle Storm player, also 31, denied being involved, writing that “none of it is true.”

On Monday, Megan announced that she would be departing from her role in “Moulin Rouge! The Musical” earlier than expected.
