EXCLUSIVE: Rex Linn (Happy’s Place, Better Call Saul), Sasha Alexander (The Lincoln Lawyer, The Morning Show), and Missi Pyle (Sterling Point, Y: The Last Man) have joined the expanding recurring cast of Apple TV‘s Stick for Season 2.
From creator Jason Keller, Stick is a feel-good sports comedy about a found family and their relationships set within the world of golf. In Season 1, Owen Wilson stars as Pryce Cahill, who goes by the nickname Stick, an over-the-hill, ex-pro golfer whose career was derailed prematurely 20 years ago. After the collapse of his marriage and while working at an Indiana sporting goods store, Pryce hedges his bets and future entirely on a troubled 17-year-old golf phenom named Santi (Peter Dager).
The series was renewed for a second season in July, with Wilson and Dager returning alongside Marc Maron as Pryce’s friend Mitts, Mariana Treviño as Santi’s mom Elena, and Lilli Kay as bartender-turned-caddy Zero.
As we recently announced, Timothy Olyphant and Judy Greer were upped to series regulars for Season 2. Olyphant will reprise the role of Clark Ross, Pryce’s rival and former partner, and Greer as Pryce’s ex-wife, Amber-Linn.
Billy Zane and John Higgins have also joined the Season 2 cast.
Hailing from Apple Studios, Stick is showrun by Keller, who also serves as executive producer alongside Wilson, Ben Silverman for Propagate Content and Entertainment 360’s Guymon Casady. The series is also executive produced by Howard T. Owens, Rodney Ferrell, Drew Buckley, Lee Eisenberg, Christopher Moynihan, Bill Callahan, and Jaffar Mahmood.
Linn is repped by Fourward Management; Alexander is repped by Untitled Entertainment; Pyle is repped by Paradigm, Prime Talent Media, and Hirsch Wallerstein Hayum Matlof Fishman.
