First Look At Spanish Sci-Fi Flick ‘Pacifico’ — Cannes Market 

Here’s the first teaser trailer for Pacifico, the large-scale Spanish-language sci-fi title starring Gabi de Faria (Superman), Manolo Cardona (Narcos), Christopher Von Uckermann (Rebelde), Claudio Cataño (Cien años de soledad), Ricardo Abarca (Que Culpa Tiene el Niño), and  Maria Nela Sinisterra (Corazon de Leon).

Described as an adventure sci-fi film, Pacifico follows a group of young travelers who are stranded on an island in the Pacific, where they struggle to escape an evil presence that has been kept hidden from mankind for centuries.

Gonzalo Gutierrez directed the film, which has been produced by Mauricio Brunetti and Guido Rud of the Buenos Aires-based outfit FilmSharks. The executive producer is Florencia Lemoine. FilmSharks will present the film to buyers at this year’s Cannes Market. 

“This is the biggest and most ambitious science fiction theatrical film ever made in Spanish, where we created a spaceship world and universe where we worked to naturally mix narrative layers,” Rud said of the movie. 

“Pacifico is about so much more than Alien Space Ships and monsters: it’s about how we understand that this is an old planet with so many hidden truths and untold stories of how visitors were more often than imagined. Top-tier buyers are chasing this title, and we aim to announce many key territories shortly.”
