Olivia Wilde fans rush to actress’s defense after cruel trolls criticize her appearance in viral video

Don’t worry, darling.

Olivia Wilde’s fans rushed to the actress’s defense after ruthless trolls criticized her appearance in a new video.

The cruel attacks began after the 42-year-old movie star stopped for an interview with SFGate while walking the red carpet ahead of the San Francisco International Film Festival last Friday.

Critics claimed that Wilde, who was at the event to promote her newest film “The Invite,” looked slimmer than usual in the now-viral clip.

But the “Life Itself” star’s fans spoke up and fired back at Wilde’s haters on social media.

While some explained that the lighting and camera angle were clearly to blame, others suggested the trolls leave Wilde alone and “look at people on the inside, not the outside.”

“It’s unflattering lighting and a bad camera lens. She otherwise looks beautiful and is aging gracefully,” one fan tweeted.

“I think it may have been the camera settings, or a filter of whoever took that video. I saw a news clip where she didn’t look as bad,” agreed another.

“People need to toss off sometimes and leave people be,” a third person in the “Booksmart” director’s corner stated.

“Why is this even a post? She’s beautiful,” another fan shared. “We’re living in such a world where everyone has to be perfect. You can’t be too fat; you can’t be too thin…Like, who cares?”

Page Six has reached out to Wilde’s reps for comment.

During a candid interview with Elle in 2022, the “Tron: Legacy” actress spoke about the scrutiny she and other celebs receive as public figures.

At the time, she was directing “Don’t Worry Darling” with then-boyfriend Harry Styles, 32, and Florence Pugh.

Styles, who is 10 years younger than Wilde, has since become engaged to 37-year-old Zoë Kravitz.

“It’s as though the general public feels that if you are making something that you’re selling to the public, you somehow have accepted that your life will be torn to shreds by a pack of wolves,” Wilde told the outlet.

“No, that’s actually not part of the job description,” she added. “Never was.”

Before that, the “Wake Up” director discussed the importance of “loving one’s own body” during a 2021 interview with Vogue.

“We want to celebrate the idea of loving one’s own body and feeling confident because you feel beautiful, and the idea that the rituals we practice for ourselves are opportunities to celebrate ourselves,” she advocated.

“Beauty isn’t an obligation in order to interact with the rest of the world,” Wilde added at the time. “This is about interacting with ourselves and celebrating ourselves.”
