Nicole Richie and Joel Madden’s rarely-seen daughter is all grown up at Coachella 2026

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden’s rarely-seen daughter, Kate, attended Coachella 2026 over the weekend.

The 18-year-old posted Instagram photos from the Indio, California, music festival on Monday.

“@coachella 🫦,” Kate captioned the carousel, which kicked off with a picture of herself posing in the crowd in a cropped white tank, a black headscarf and jeans.

Elsewhere in the slideshow, Kate showed off another ensemble — a black bikini top, a denim skirt and boots.

In addition to group shots with her friends, the upload also included glimpses of Justin Bieber’s headlining set on Saturday.

Sofia Richie raved over her “gorg” niece in the comments.

Nicole, 44, gushed over her daughter’s pals, writing, “My favs ❤️❤️.”

The “Simple Life” alum and Madden, 47, welcomed Kate in January 2008, followed by son Sparrow, now 16, in September of the following year.

While Kate was born Harlow, Nicole revealed to People in January that her eldest child has chosen to go “by her middle name.”

The former reality star hinted at this in her 18th birthday tribute to Kate via Instagram, which tagged the teenager’s Instagram account.

At the time, Joel commented, “How to make a grown man cry!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Love you Kate! You’re a bad ass [sic]! Never forget it! Happy 18!!”

The Good Charlotte member went on to tell “Dumb Blonde” podcast listeners last month that Kate has been going by the moniker since the first grade.

“She chose it,” the musician recalled in March. “We went to the open house night or whatever [at school], and the teacher [was] like, ‘Kate’s doing great. She’s so nice.’ And we [were] like, ‘Who’s Kate?’

“We went home, and we [were] like, ‘You go by Kate at school?’ And she goes, ‘Yeah, I like it,’” he continued. “There was no discussion. It wasn’t a big deal.”

He and Nicole have been together since 2006, with the couple tying the knot four years later in the backyard of Nicole’s dad Lionel Richie’s Beverly Hills home.
