Mel Rodriguez Signs With Artists First (EXCLUSIVE)

EXCLUSIVE: Artists First has signed actor Mel Rodriguez for management.

Most recently, Rodriguez was seen recurring on Shonda Rhimes’ Netflix series The Residence as White House engineer Bruce Geller, a deceptively central figure in the show’s murder mystery. The actor is perhaps best known for his role as Todd on Fox’s Emmy-nominated comedy The Last Man on Earth, which ran for four seasons, alongside Will Forte and January Jones. He also voices the role of Luis in Netflix’s Carol & the End of the World.

Rodriguez first came to prominence for his Critics Choice-nominated performance on HBO’s Getting On, alongside Laurie Metcalf and Niecy Nash. Previously, he also portrayed Hugo on CBS’s CSI: Vegas, starred opposite Kirsten Dunst and Beth Ditto in Showtime’s On Becoming a God in Central Florida, and appeared on AMC’s Better Call Saul. His guest-starring credits include popular series such as Community, Grace and Frankie, Big Love, and Workaholics as well as the Amazon series Made for Love and Apple TV’s The Afterparty.

In film, Rodriguez’s credits include Lionsgate’s Overboard remake with Eugenio Derbez and Anna Faris, as well as Pixar’s Oscar-nominated animated feature Onward, and Fat, writer-director Mark Phinney’s TIFF title in which he stars as Ken, a food-addicted man struggling with getting his life in order. He also appears in acclaimed films such as Little Miss Sunshine, Panic Room, and The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada.

Rodriguez continues to be represented by Innovative Artists Entertainment.
