Was Maren Morris caught in “The Middle” of a wedding invitation hoax?
“I got this spam text a couple weeks ago, and it was like, ‘You’re invited to Taylor [Swift] and Travis [Kelce’s] wedding,’” the “Girl” hitmaker, 36, revealed during her SiriusXM “Hits 1 Miami with Mack & Je” interview.
“And I was like, ‘I’m blocking this,’ because, like, there’s no way they would send an invitation through a text like this.”
While the singer was pretty certain that the message was fake, she was stumped as to how the invitation was “going to my number?”
Morris and the interviewers went on to laugh as one of the hosts questioned if the message was actually real.
“What if I, like, trashed it?” asked Morris, before repeating her question as to how the sender was able to find her number. “This is weird.”
Just last month, Page Six exclusively revealed that the save-the-dates for Swift, 36, and Kelce’s big day went out.
The invitations revealed the lovebirds plans to tie the knot in New York City on July 3.
Prior to the news, it was reported by multiple outlets that Swift and the NFL star, also 36, originally had plans to say “I do” in Rhode Island — where Swift owns a large estate next door to a hotel.
However, an insider told Page Six in November that the pair were potentially looking to scrap the idea altogether for another kind of wedding.
As the big day quickly approaches, fans haven’t been able to stop speculating that they may have caught the pop star and the Kansas City Chiefs player prepping for the big day.
On April 17, the pair were seen attempting to keep a low profile while making their entrance to Casa Cipriani to meet with their engagement ring designer, Kindred Lubeck. The meet up led fans to believe the stars were designing or picking up their wedding bands.
Kelce popped the question to Swift in August 2025, after two years of dating, with an old mine brilliant-cut diamond ring with a yellow gold band featuring detailed engravings.
