It is true! Abbey Romeo & David Isaacman really did break up!
If you have not heard, reports came out this week saying the fan favorite couple from Love on the Spectrum went their separate ways after five years together, all because they could not agree on when to get married. The reason does not surprise many fans of the Netflix series. She wanted to get engaged, but he wasn’t ready yet, and viewers watched them argue over it during Season 4.

And we know many hoped the reports about Abbey and David were all a lie. However, we hate to break it to everyone — it is really over between them! Abbey, David, and their families issued a joint statement to confirm the split to People on Friday night, saying:
“Abbey and David spent four and a half years together and truly value the time they shared and each other. At this point, they want different things and have decided to go their separate ways, but they remain friends wishing each other the best.”
Thankfully, it does appear Abbey and David actually ended on good terms. When he announced on Instagram that he wrote a children’s book called The Big Five Save the Lions, she showed her support by dropping a like. Amazing.
We continue to wish Abbey and David nothing but the best! What are your reactions to this heartbreaking breakup, Perezcious readers? Let us know in the comments!
