The upcoming Lego Batman: Legacy Of The Dark Knight features a tribute to late voice actor icon Kevin Conroy.
Kevin Conroy passed away in 2022, aged 66, after a short battle with intestinal cancer. He played Batman in over 20 different projects before his death, including TV shows Batman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. Conroy also portrayed the beloved DC hero in hit video games Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City and Batman: Arkham Knight.
2024’s Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League featured Conroy’s last performance as Batman but the upcoming Lego Batman: Legacy Of The Dark Knight includes a tribute to the acting legend.
As shared by X user Ashnflash, Lego Batman: Legacy Of The Dark Knight features a billboard advertising Gotham City Radio station After Hours With Conroy, which comes with tagline “the voice of Gotham’s night” which is a play on Batman’s nickname of Gotham’s knight.

“It’s my favourite reference I spotted in the game,” added Ashnflash, who’s been sharing a number of easter eggs from Lego Batman: Legacy Of The Dark Knight on his feed. “Awesome tribute,” wrote one fan. “Ain’t gonna lie, that’s actually pretty touching,” said another. “[They really are] making this game a love letter to Batman fans no matter what media,” added a third.
Following Conroy’s death, Mark Hamill confirmed he would be stepping down as the voice of The Joker. “Without Batman, crime has no punchline,” he explained.
Lego Batman: Legacy Of The Dark Knight launches May 22 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2. “Legacy Of The Dark Knight is a brand-new open world action adventure video game that invites players to embark on Bruce Wayne’s epic journey to become the hero of Gotham City, inspired by decades of Batman films, television, comic books, and games,” reads an official description of the game.
