ABC News has tapped Jon Schlosberg to serve as executive producer of This Week with George Stephanopoulos.
Schlosberg, who will be based in Washington and start on May 6, has served as senior producer for ABC News Live’s Prime with Linsey Davis, the streaming channel’s nightly newscast, since 2021. Before that, he was producer on the streaming channel, having joined the network in 2018. He previously served as a producer at KGO-TV in San Francisco and at WVUE-TV in New Orleans, both ABC owned stations.
Schlosberg will work with Stepanopoulos and other hosts Martha Raddatz and Jonathan Karl. He will report to Rick Klein, ABC News Washington bureau chief.
Klein said in a statement, “Jon is a tenacious journalist and exceptional leader who has been instrumental across the ABC News Group for more than a decade, bringing precision, creativity and integrity to some of the most consequential stories of our time.”
He said that Schlosberg’s “sharp political instincts, deep experience in linear as well as streaming television, and proven ability to build winning teams make him exactly the right person to lead ‘This Week’ into its next chapter.”
Brooke Brower departed as the show’s executive producer last year.
