Netflix has released the first trailer for Office Romance, its upcoming rom-com starring Jennifer Lopez and Ted Lasso‘s Brett Goldstein.
Lopez stars as Jackie Cruz, a CEO at a major airline (she also flies the plane), who falls in love with new company lawyer Daniel Blanchflower (Goldstein). Their secret affair puts both at risk of destroying their careers, when they decide to “stop playing by the rules and start following their hearts,” according to the official synopsis.
“Do you believe in magic?” asks Jackie, to which Daniel replies, “Honestly, since I first walked into your office I believe in everything.”
“No fooling around at the office,” says Jackie to Daniel. “Never,” he replies as the two embrace. “If we get caught, it could destroy everything I’ve built,” warns Jackie.
Penned by Goldstein and J oe Kelly,the rom-com is directed by Ol Parker (Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again) and co-stars Betty Gilpin. Amy Sedaris, Tony Hale, Bradley Whitford and Edward James Olmos. Cast also includes Tony Plana, Roger Bart, Jackie Sandler, Donald Elise Watkins, Jodie Whittaker, Natalie Ortega, Mary Wiseman, Brian Gallivan, Ali Stroker, Michelle Hurd, Scott Seiss, Lisa Gilroy, Rick Hoffman, Will Sasso and Mo “Welch.
Aaron Ryder and Andrew Swett produce for Ryder Picture Company along with Goldstein; Kelly; and the trio of Lopez, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Benny Medina for Nuyorican Films. Courtney Baxter is exec producing for Nuyorican, which has a multiyear first-look deal with Netflix spanning features, TV series and unscripted content.
Office Romance is set to release June 5 on Netflix.
