Jen Shah Claims One-Time Prison Neighbor Ghislaine Maxwell Has ‘No Remorse’ For Jeffrey Epstein Victims

[Warning: Potentially Triggering Content]

Jen Shah is opening up about what — and who — she saw behind bars.

During a new interview with People following her release from prison in December, the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star opened up about doing time at the Federal Prison Camp Bryan in Bryan, Texas alongside Jeffrey Epstein’s right hand woman, Ghislaine Maxwell.

However, for one, Jen said she made a conscious effort to steer clear of the trafficker:

“I had limited interactions with her. I chose that. I chose to keep my distance.”

Jen noted it wasn’t because of Ghislaine’s high profile status alone, as the former reality TV star frequently spent time with Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes, who currently remains incarcerated at the minimum security prison on fraud and conspiracy convictions:

“Lizzie and I are good friends. As another high profile prisoner, there are just certain things you’re both dealing with, so you naturally come together in those instances.”

No, it was that Ghislaine just wasn’t someone she wanted to hang around.

The reality TV star noted that she and Elizabeth “definitely” avoided Ghislaine — especially after discovering how the trafficker supposedly feels about her and Epstein’s victims:

“I just feel like there should be a level of remorse for the victims. And she made it very publicly known — at least to Elizabeth and I — that there’s no remorse there. She outrightly said it.”

Wow…

Jen continued:

“When the victims would be on TV, she was just in complete disregard for them. And this is when they are pouring their hearts out in front of Congress for those files to be released. To be so dismissive of that? That just didn’t sit with me the right way.”

That’s just awful.

Jen went on to point out that Ghislaine was not alienated or ostracized in any way — and in many ways actually seemed to receive special treatment:

“Oh, no, she was treated very well there. She was afforded things that nobody else was afforded, like private workout sessions, special meals, bottled water. Everybody witnessed it, and I know that firsthand because I worked in [recreation] so I would have to clean things up. I was also asked for certain equipment because she was going to go work out late at night.”

She further alleged Ghislaine was not being held to the same legal procedures as others:

“It’s concerning. There’s a process you have to go through to schedule your legal calls. She would not have to go through the same process.”

That’s just… yikes.

In response, a Bureau of Prisons spokesperson claimed the organization “is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, impartiality, and professionalism in the operation of its facilities.” The bureau added:

“Allegations of misconduct, including any suggestion of preferential treatment, are taken seriously and thoroughly investigated through established internal processes, including the Office of Internal Affairs and, when appropriate, the Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General. BOP Program Statement 3420.12 CN-1, ‘Standards of Employee Conduct,’ explicitly prohibits all staff from providing preferential treatment to any inmate.”

They continued:

“Staff are required to treat all inmates equitably, in accordance with law, policy, and institutional security and safety protocols. Any deviation from this standard undermines public trust and the fair administration of justice. Violations of this policy are subject to a full range of disciplinary actions, up to and including removal from federal service and potential criminal prosecution.”

Well then.
