Hugh Jackman came to Blake Lively’s rescue during the Met Gala 2026.
The “X-Men” actor said on “Today with Jenna and Sheinelle” on Wednesday that he helped the “Gossip Girl” alum deal with a wardrobe malfunction at the star-studded event two days earlier.
“My good friend Blake Lively, goes, ‘Dude, I need some help with the dress. I think there’s a hook in there,’” he recalled.
Jackman, 57, said before he lent Lively, 38, a hand, he sent a text message to her husband and his close pal, Ryan Reynolds, who didn’t attend the gala.
“I’m like, ‘Ryan, is this cool? Checking. Are we good?’” Jackman said, adding that his “Deadpool and Wolverine” co-star replied, “Go for it, brother.”
As Jackman and the hosts laughed about the “cool moment,” they all agreed that Lively’s dress — an archival Atelier Versace gown with a 13-foot train — was “stunning.”
Jackman went to the Met Gala with his girlfriend and Broadway co-star Sutton Foster.
He wore a classic black tuxedo with a silver brooch pin, while Foster rocked a gold metallic one-shoulder gown.
Lively, meanwhile, attended the event without Reynolds, with whom she shares four children.
The “Age of Adeline” actress went viral for appearing to boss around her red carpet entourage who were holding her dress as she walked the iconic Metropolitan Museum of Art steps.
Some social media users said Lively had “mean girl energy,” while others came to her defense and said she had “boss” energy.
Lively went to the Met Gala hours after she settled her lawsuit against her “It Ends With Us” co-star Justin Baldoni.
