How Hoda Kotb Supported Savannah Guthrie As She Makes Today Show Return After Filling In During Absence

Hoda Kotb is standing by her friend Savannah Guthrie.

On Monday, Savannah returned to the Today Show after a two-month absence amid her mother Nancy’s disappearance. It was emotional for everyone at 30 Rock and watching at home — and she didn’t do it without an abundance of support. Among those cheering her on was Hoda, who filled in for her while she was gone.

As her friend returned to all of our TV screens, Hoda took to Instagram sharing a throwback photo of Savannah and her children Vale and Charley at work, writing:

“With you xoxo.”

Very sweet.

This has been such a challenging time for all those close to Savannah, but it’s so nice to see the Today crew continue to support her during this deeply emotional time.
