Hallmark Media has a new boss.
Veteran Darren Abbott, who has been with the company for nearly 30 years, has been named President. It follows the departure of John Matts, who was named President in June 2025.
Abbott was previously Chief Brand Officer. He will continue to handle these duties as well now as ad sales, distribution, and research for Hallmark Media.
Hallmark is behind series such as When Calls The Heart, which premiered its Season 13 earlier this year, The Way Home, which stars Andie MacDowell and is ending with its fourth season, and Mistletoe Murders, which has been renewed for a third season.
