Eric Dane’s final acting role teased in ‘Euphoria’ Season 3 trailer after his tragic death

Eric Dane’s final acting role before his death was teased in the new “Euphoria” Season 3 trailer.

The teaser released Monday shows Dane’s character, Cal Jacobs, reuniting with Jules (Hunter Schafer) Jules, whom he hooked up with in Season 1.

“Remember me?” Jules asks Cal, who is dressed in a suit.

“How can I forget?” Cal replies.

Dane returned to his role as Nate Jacobs’ (Jacob Elordi) father in the hit HBO series before he died on February 19 at age 53.

He filmed scenes for Season 3 while he was battling Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

Last June, Dane told Access Hollywood that it was “great to be back” on set after a four-year break between seasons.

“I can assure you that we are in production and we are shooting a really great TV show,” he added.

During his final interview before his death on Netflix’s “Famous Last Words,” Dane shared that he “put a lot of effort” into his “Euphoria” role.

“Cal and I are very similar in that we know what it’s like to lead a double life,” the “Grey’s Anatomy” alum explained. “I’ve had experience with that with my battle with drugs and alcohol. I know what it is like to not have my insides match my outside.”

After Dane’s passing, several “Euphoria” actors paid tribute to their late co-star on social media,

Sydney Sweeney, who plays Cassie Howard, reshared a clip from his heartbreaking final video message to his daughters, Billie and Georgia, and wrote, “Forever will love you.”

Barbie Ferreira, who played Kat Hernandez before exiting the series after Season 2, similarly took to Instagram Stories to re-share Dane’s “Famous Last Words” clip.

Meanwhile, show creator Sam Levinson said he was “heartbroken” over the loss “of our dear friend” in a statement to Page Six.

“Working with him was an honor. Being his friend was a gift,” Levinson continued. “Eric’s family is in our prayers. May his memory be for a blessing.”
