Misua — a popular drag queen connected to “Drag Race Philippines” — has died … the show announced Thursday.
The star — government name Jason Elvie Go Ty — passed away in her sleep, according to the “Drag Race Philippines” remembrance post on Instagram … which added, “She brought light, artistry, and joy to those around her, and she will be deeply missed.” Showrunners did not reveal a cause of death.

In light of the tragedy, “Drag Race Philippines” production has shut down. The show’s staff is in touch with Misua’s family, they say … and the family has asked for privacy at this time.
“Drag Race Philippines” — an offshoot of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” — is shooting its fourth season. The season’s queen had not yet been announced … so, it’s unclear if Misua was set to compete this season or if she was appearing in some other capacity.
Misua was reportedly a member of the Haus of LaFeya and performed at the Rampa Drag Club in Quezon City, near Manila.
Misua was 27.
