Donald Trump doesn’t think Jimmy Kimmel’s “widow” joke is any laughing matter!
By now, you’ve surely seen the late night host’s unforgettable monologue on Thursday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live. But just in case you haven’t, let us fill you in… He did a bit where he played an alternative speaker at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, which took place at the Washington Hilton in D.C. two days later. Mind you, Jimmy’s bit was filmed BEFORE the political event, which was ultimately disrupted by a terrifying assassination attempt!

During Jimmy’s bit on Thursday night, he stood at a podium and had his editing crew splice in clips of Trump, Melania, and other conservatives sitting in the audience of past events to make it seem like they were all in the same room. And Jimmy joked:
“Of course, our First Lady Melania is here. Look at her, so beautiful. Mrs. Trump, you have a glow like an expectant widow.”

OMG! How crazy that just two days later at the actual Correspondents’ Dinner, an attempt on the President’s life WAS made! But while some with a dark sense of humor may think the joke is funny, Mr. 47 himself is BIG mad!
On Monday, Trump took to right-wing social media platform Truth Social to complain about Jimmy, who CLEARLY gets under his skin:
“Wow, Jimmy Kimmel, who is in no way funny as attested to by his terrible Television Ratings, made a statement on his Show that is really shocking.”
Is Trump of all people really complaining about someone making “shocking” statements?? He continued:
“He showed a fake video of the First Lady, Melania, and our son, Barron, like they were actually sitting in his studio, listening to him speak, which they weren’t, and never would be. He then stated, ‘Our First Lady, Melania, is here. Look at Melania, so beautiful. Mrs. Trump, you have a glow like an expectant widow.’ A day later a lunatic tried entering the ballroom of the White House Correspondents Dinner, loaded up with a shotgun, handgun, and many knives. He was there for a very obvious and sinister reason.”
As we know, California teacher Cole Allen was arrested after attempting to storm the ballroom. There were zero casualties.
Trump then actually went on to claim he wouldn’t “normally” be “responsive” to anything Jimmy said, which is hilarious given their history, and called for his firing:
“I appreciate that so many people are incensed by Kimmel’s despicable call to violence, and normally would not be responsive to anything that he said but, this is something far beyond the pale. Jimmy Kimmel should be immediately fired by Disney and ABC. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP”
Oh, just another wrinkle in these two’s longgggg, long feud! Ha!
