Meadows was working and filming the Discovery Channel TV series when he tragically died after falling overboard, Page Six previously confirmed.

Cast member deckhand Trey John Green III previously told Page Six that Meadows was sorting through crabs from inside a shellfish trap — known as a pot — when it went overboard.

“We’re like, ‘Holy crap, he’s gonna sink to the bottom. We’re not gonna have any way to get this pot back up,’” Green said, explaining that he immediately saw Meadows climb out of the pot and swim in the water that was “only a degree or two above freezing.”

Green explained that Meadows was only in the ocean for about four minutes until a rescue swimmer retrieved his “lifeless” body.

According to the US Coast Guard, he was unresponsive when crew members recovered his body about 10 minutes later.

Crew members attempted to resuscitate Meadows and administer first aid, but were unsuccessful.

Meadows was filming his first season of “Deadliest Catch” when he died.

Meadows’ co-star Captain Rick Shelford announced his death via Facebook, referring to it as the “most tragic day in the history of the Aleutian Lady on the Bering Sea.”

“Todd was the newest member of our crew, he quickly became family. His love for fishing and his strong work ethic earned everyone’s respect right away,” Shelford wrote.

While it’s unclear if Discovery caught the accident on camera, Meadows’ mom, Angela, pleaded for the production crew not to release footage to avoid profiting from her son’s death.

“We hope they only air good things of Todd on that boat,” she told TMZ.

Additionally, Meadows’ sister, Mackenzie, emotionally shared her family and brother’s kids were going through an undescribable “pain.”

“His boys will see him through pictures, and we will see him through his boys,” she previously told Us Weekly.
