Deadliest Catch Deckhand Todd Meadows’ Family Gearing Up To File Wrongful Death Lawsuit

Todd Meadows’ family wants accountability to be taken after his tragic death.

On Monday, the Deadliest Catch deckhand’s cause of death was officially revealed less than two months after his devastating passing. For those who don’t know, he fell overboard the Aleutian Lady sea vessel while filming the new season of Deadliest Catch and was in the Bering Sea for 10 minutes before the crew recovered him. Resuscitation attempts were unsuccessful and he was transported to a hospital in Dutch Harbor, Alaska, but sadly, the 25-year-old was confirmed to have died of “drowning with probable hypothermia” and “submersion of body in cold water.”

Now, his family is getting litigious.

On Monday, TMZ also reported Todd’s family is hiring lawyers and plans to file a wrongful death lawsuit. As of now, it’s unclear who specifically they plan to hold responsible as defendants, but the wheels are in motion on a case. Todd’s mother Angela told the outlet last month

“We don’t want to put the blame on anyone, but someone has to take responsibility. We will have justice for Todd.”

She also pleaded for the footage from his death to never be released — though it’s not clear if the exact moment he went overboard was captured.

Our hearts continue to be with his loved ones. What are your reactions to this latest update? Be sure to let us know in the comments down below.
