Exclusive | Dak Prescott and ex Sarah Jane Ramos’ relationship takes surprising turn ahead of custody hearing

NFL star Dak Prescott and his ex-fiancée, Sarah Jane Ramos, narrowly avoided a courtroom showdown by reaching a temporary custody agreement for their two young daughters in the 11th hour.

Page Six has learned that the former couple — who called off their destination wedding mere weeks before it was set to take place — entered into an informal temporary settlement agreement on Monday.

The Collin County, Texas, judge overseeing the case signed the agreement Wednesday, just one day before Prescott and Ramos were scheduled to hash out their custody issues in court.

“The Court finds this order is in the best interest of the children,” the document states; however, the agreement itself was not filed and will not be filed unless enforcement is required.

“Sarah Jane is very happy that she and Dak are able to make decisions for the parties’ girls and their family on their own,” Ramos’ Miami-based family law attorney, Raymond Rafool, told Page Six.

“She firmly believes that working together as parents is very important and will have long-term benefits for the girls. Sarah Jane continues to be dedicated to putting the girls’ best interests and lives first.”

Prescott — whose alleged “ongoing infidelity issues” forced Ramos to pull the plug on their April 10 nuptials in Lake Como, Italy — filed a Suit Affecting the Parent-Child Relationship (SAPCR) on March 17.

In Texas, an SAPCR is often used by unmarried parents to define parental rights and responsibilities in their child or children’s best interest.

It establishes court orders for child custody, visitation (including possession and access), support and medical/dental support.

Prescott, 32, argued in his petition that “it is in the best interest of the children” that he and Ramos, also 32, “be appointed joint managing conservators” of Margaret, 2, and Aurora, 10 months.

A hearing to discuss the matter was initially scheduled for April 2; however, on that day, the exes informed the judge that they had agreed to try to resolve their issues outside of court.

Prescott and Ramos began dating in May 2023. They welcomed Margaret in February 2024, got engaged eight months later and welcomed Aurora in May 2025.

A source previously told Page Six that Ramos believed the Dallas Cowboys quarterback had a history of communicating with other women throughout their relationship — but that she stayed with him hoping he would clean up his act for the sake of their family.

Our source claimed the certified wine and spirits specialist essentially issued Prescott an ultimatum in January but discovered in March that he was allegedly using incognito social media profiles to send inappropriate messages to multiple women and ex-flings.

“The decision to call off the wedding was mutual,” Prescott’s attorney, Levi G. McCathern II, previously claimed to us.

“Unfortunately, when well-known people go through something personal, speculation tends to run wild, and the truth is often swept to the side. People should stop inventing stories and respect their privacy.”
