EXCLUSIVE: The Chief Financial Officer of UK agency Curtis Brown is exiting after a decade.
The 125-year-old agency, which reps the likes of Ncuti Gatwa, Robert Pattinson and Margaret Atwood, confirmed Simon Flamank‘s exit after he was terminated as director on Companies House late last month.
Flamank, a respected figure in the world of TV and film industry finance, has been with UTA-owned Curtis Brown since 2016. We understand he is leaving shortly to pursue his passions and doesn’t have another role lined up. Succession plans will be announced in due course.
Flamank was with Curtis Brown during a period of change. He helped navigate the agency during the Covid-19 pandemic and would have been front and center of Curtis Brown’s acquisition by American agency UTA for around £43M ($58.6M) in 2022. According to Curtis Brown parent UTA UK’s latest company accounts for full-year 2024, the agency turned over £77M. More recent financials are not available.
Flamank has worked for a number of media companies at C-suite level including Bob & Co, the entertainment firm set up by Bob Benton that invested in a number of UK outfits. He has also consulted for a number of businesses.
Flamank is one of the most senior figures at Curtis Brown. He works closely with Chair and CEO Jonny Geller, President Jonathan Lloyd, directors Nick Marston and Sarah Spear, and COO Raneet Ahuja.
