Concourse Media has appointed Jack Sheehan as its new President of Worldwide Sales.
The company said Sheehan will “spearhead global sales strategy” and work closely with CEO Matthew Shreder to launch market-ready projects.
Sheehan was previously President of Worldwide Sales & Development at Archstone Entertainment. His slate at Archstone included recent SXSW premiere title Chili Finger starring Bryan Cranston and John Goodman, and the sci-fi comedy Operation Taco Gary’s starring Simon Rex and Brenda Song. He also produced four features at the label, including The Best Man starring Luke Wilson and Exit Protocol starring Dolph Lundgren and Michael Jai White. Before Archstone, he was VP of Sales & Acquisitions at Lotus Entertainment. He also had stints at Universal and Sony.
Concourse’s current slate includes the heist thriller The Smack starring Casey Affleck, Sam Rockwell, Marisa Tomei, and Kathy Bates.
“As Concourse blazes new trails in film financing and sales, I’m thrilled to join Matt and the rest of the team to help expand and accelerate that growth,” Sheehan said in a statement.
“Never before has there been a stronger hunger for original stories for mass audiences, and Concourse is in pole position to deliver. I thank Scott, Michael, Heather, Alex, and Anne at Archstone for incredible memories on set, at the markets, and in between, and wish them all the best in their next chapter.”
Shreder added: “The independent landscape has changed, and success now depends on a highly strategic and inventive approach to global sales. Jack has a strong instinct for navigating that complexity and unlocking value in a tougher market. He’s a meaningful addition as we continue to build the next phase of the company.”
