American High’s ‘Minimum Wage’ Gets Netflix Series Order

Netflix has given a series order to Minimum Wage, a 28-episode series from Jeremy Garelick‘s American High, based on the breakout American High Shorts series of the same name. The viral short-form series has drawn over 30 million views across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram since launching in May 2024 and will debut exclusively on Netflix later this year.

Produced by American High, Minimum Wage is described as an ensemble workplace series set inside a chaotic local pizza shop. It follows a group of teenage employees battling power-tripping managers, an unhinged rush, and the slow grind of service-industry burnout. The stakes are low. The pressure is immense, per the official logline.

Cast includes Aidan Micho, Grace Reiter, Hyde Healy, Julia Dicesare, Luke Burke, Ryan Micho and Tommy Armstrong.

Garelick and Will Phelps serve as writers, executive producers and showrunners. Axelle Azoulay also executive produces.
