EXCLUSIVE: Severance fans won’t have a three-year wait for Season 3.
That’s the message from Adam Scott, who told Deadline that the creative team behind Apple TV‘s high-concept series is working to deliver the new season “much sooner.”
Speaking on the red carpet at the BAFTA TV Awards, where Severance was nominated for best International series, Scott said: “We’re always trying to shorten the amount of time between seasons, but it’s more important for it to be great than for it to be fast.”
He added: “We’re definitely planning on getting it out much sooner than the last round, which was three years, which is too long.”
Scott, who stars in Severance as Mark Scout, said Season 3 will start shooting “very soon,” but he would not be drawn on storylines for the Lumon Industries employees. “The only thing about telling more is it would be a bummer,” he said about potential spoilers.
Deadline revealed in February that Apple had acquired Severance rights from Fifth Season in a deal worth around $70M. We reported at the time that Season 3 was expected to shoot in the summer.
Season 2 of Severance became Apple’s most-watched series at the time and was the most-nominated program at the 2025 Emmys with 27, winning eight awards.
