‘A Quiet Place Part III’ Begins Filming In NYC

Quiet on set! Filming has begun on the third installment of the A Quiet Place franchise in the city that never sleeps.

John Krasinski, who returns as writer, director and producer of A Quiet Place Part III, premiering July 30, 2027, announced the start of production Saturday on Instagram, sharing a photo of the film slate in front of the Manhattan Bridge Arch and Colonnade in New York City’s Chinatown.

“Here. We. Go! #Part III,” Krasinski captioned the post.

In March, Deadline reported that Krasinski’s wife Emily Blunt had closed a deal to reprise her role as Evelyn Abbott from A Quiet Place (2018) and A Quiet Place Part II (2020), along with Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe as her children Regan and Marcus.

Cillian Murphy is also returning as Emmett from Part II, with Jack O’Connell, Jason Clarke and Katy O’Brian also joining the cast of the third installment.

Krasinski directed and starred in the original A Quiet Place as Evelyn’s husband Lee, who ultimately sacrifices himself for his family as they struggle to survive an alien invasion by a species who hunts only by sound. Despite his death, Lee appears in flashbacks in Part II, which Krasinski also directed.

In 2024, Michael Sarnoski helmed the NYC-set A Quiet Place: Day One, which starred Lupita Nyong’o, Joseph Quinn, Djimon Hounsou, Alex Wolff and more.
