Newly released bodycam footage shows Tiger Woods crouching down on the side of the road moments after he crashed his car in Jupiter Island, Florida, last week.
The surprising footage shows the golf great, 50, in sunglasses and a backwards hat while kneeling down in the grass as he’s questioned by police.
“Looked down at my phone and then all the sudden, boom,” Woods told the responding officers.
The police then proceed to pat Woods down while checking the five-time Masters champ for any potential injuries.
Additional bodycam footage from the roadway shows the troubled golfer’s Land Rover flipped on its side.
“Who hit him?” an officer asked the driver of the other vehicle involved in the scary crash.
“He hit me,” the other driver responded, before pointing at Woods’ flipped Land Rover.
Woods’ rep did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The PGA legend was arrested after the car crash just blocks from his Florida home on March 27.
Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek confirmed during a press conference that Woods “showed signs of impairment” and “refused a urinalysis test” following his crash.
A police report obtained by Page Six revealed that “two white pills” later “revealed to be hydrocodone” were found inside the golfer’s “left side pant pocket.”
Although Woods claimed he had not consumed any alcohol or illegal substances before the crash, the affidavit said that he admitted to taking “a few” prescription medications.
The responding officers said they “observed several signs of impairment” while speaking with Woods, who was “sweating profusely.”
When Woods was asked to remove his sunglasses, the officers noticed that his eyes were “bloodshot and glassy” and that his pupils were “extremely dilated.”
As for the crash, Woods told the deputies that he was “looking down at his cellphone and changing the radio station and did not notice the vehicle in front of him had slowed down,” per the police report.
Woods was ultimately handcuffed, taken into custody and charged with misdemeanor driving under the influence with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test. He was released from custody roughly eight hours later.
The embattled golfer pleaded not guilty in his latest DUI case on Tuesday. Hours later, Woods spoke out on his arrest to say that he was stepping away from golf to “seek treatment” amid his latest legal troubles.
“I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today,” he shared via X on Tuesday.
“I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health,” Woods continued.
“This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery.”
Woods added that he was “committed” to taking the necessary time he needs so he can “return in a healthier, stronger, and more focused place, both personally and professionally.”
“I appreciate your understanding and support, and ask for privacy for my family, loved ones and myself at this time,” he concluded.
