Blake Lively’s fellow It Ends With Us co-star continues to blast her, this time over her appearance at the Met Gala hours after her lawsuit settlement with Justin Baldoni on Monday!
Speaking to Page Six on Friday, Adam Mondschein, a pal of Baldoni who played the doctor in the domestic violence film and later got dragged into the legal battle, called out the Gossip Girl alum for her “contrived” and “desperate” attempt to prove everything is fine after the settlement by showing up at the annual event. And he didn’t hold back, y’all! He said:
“If you could hear eyes roll. I really do feel sorry for her, because I see those things as kind of desperate PR attempts to try to prove that everything is, I guess, their version of normal. I don’t know, it just feels contrived. Orchestrated. It feels hollow.”
Damn!

And the actor wasn’t finished! He went on to claim it all felt “very empty” to him at the end of the day:
“Growing up in New York City … I loved going to the city and seeing the Macy’s Day window displays for Christmas. The presents that they had there were so shiny and wrapped and it was awesome. And there’s nothing in them. To me, that’s how it feels. It feels very hollow. It feels very empty.”
Justin, on the other hand? He wasn’t at a fancy event or anything! Adam shared that the Jane the Virgin alum spent that same night with his loved ones:
“Justin was with his family and also I think he’s getting over a cold.”
Justin isn’t just trying to get better from a cold now. He’s also likely now processing the legal battle, which technically isn’t even over yet! Becoming emotional, Adam continued to defend Justin while addressing the emotional toll the lawsuit took on the filmmaker:
“He’s a real person. He’s out here experiencing all of this chaos like a human person would. And it’s insurmountable. He wears his heart on his sleeve, and he’s legit. He’s the real deal. That’s hard for people because it can come across cheesy at worst, but it’s hard in this industry for people to believe that someone has integrity, that someone really does care.”
Adam then praised Justin’s previous work, including The Man Enough podcast and My Last Days docuseries:
“He uses whatever modicum of recognizability he has for good. He really cares.”
It’s safe to say Adam is forever Team Justin!
