EXCLUSIVE: Helen Mirren will be the guest of honor at Italy’s Taormina Film Festival in June where she will be honored with its Lifetime Achievement Award during a special evening dedicated to late Italian acting icon Anna Magnani.

Highlights of Mirren’s five decade career include her Oscar-winning performance in The Queen as well as Gosford Park, Golda and the hit series Prime Suspect.
The celebration of Magnani will feature the screening in Taormina’s ancient open-air amphitheater of a restored version of Luchino Visconti’s Bellissima marking the 75th anniversary of the film’s release and the actress’s award-winning lead performance.
The 72nd Taormina Film Festival will run from June 10 to 14.
