First Madonna, now Stevie Nicks! Which other legend is Sabrina Carpenter going to duet with this year?
Carpenter gave fans an inside peek at her time at the Met Gala with a new carousel shared to Instagram on Wednesday (May 6). In the post, Carpenter showed off two additional outfits that skipped the red carpet that she wore once inside the event. One was a Versace dress covered in Andy Warhol’s famous pop art depictions of Marilyn Monroe and James Dean. The other was a gold fringe Bob Mackie number that she wore on stage to perform with none other than the legendary Stevie Nicks.
Carpenter shared a photo of herself and Nicks grasping each other’s hands and posing for the camera as well as a video of their duet. In the clip, the two singers are holding each other’s hands once again as they sing Fleetwood Mac’s Billboard Hot 100 hit “Landslide.” (The song debuted and peaked on the chart at No. 41 in January 2026, more than 50 years after its release, following the track’s appearance in the series finale of Stranger Things.)
In her caption, Carpenter expressed gratitude to Anna Wintour, Vogue and the Metropolitan Museum of Art for hosting her at the gala and for “giving [her] a beautiful new friend” in Nicks.
“Singing together healed many things in me!” Carpenter wrote, addressing Nicks.
The pop star also thanked the designers who crafted her “legendary dresses” and the team who “[jumped] into chaos with [her] and [made] it all happen,” tagging film director Baz Luhrmann, creative director and choreographer Jasmine Badie, Vogue‘s entertainment director Sergio Kletnoy and creative agency founder Keith Baptista.
On top of providing live musical entertainment during Monday night’s event, Carpenter also served as a member of the Met Gala’s host committee, working alongside Teyana Taylor, Doja Cat, Sam Smith and more.
