In 1953 Paris, 24-year-old Audrey Hepburn (McKenzie) is a rising actress on the brink of international stardom, though she is riddled with secret insecurities. Sent by director Billy Wilder to find an authentic wardrobe for her upcoming film, Sabrina, she arrives at the fashion house of a young, exhausted Hubert de Givenchy (Elgort). Despite his initial refusal, Audrey’s persistence and unique charm sparks a connection rooted in their shared artistic vision. Over a whirlwind night, Audrey and Hubert risk their respective careers to help one another, igniting the start of a legendary forty-year creative partnership.

“Dinner with Audrey is a story grounded in history and encapsulates one of the most iconic creative partnerships across fashion and film,” said President of Production and Development for Wayfarer Studios, Andrew Calof. As filmmakers, we feel the weight and responsibility of honoring these two icons and portraying their friendship as accurately as possible. Every element of this production has been approached with precision, care and respect. We couldn’t be more excited to tell their story.”

The production worked with acclaimed photographer Sophie Elgort to capture the burgeoning friendship which shaped the history of film and fashion, reflecting the poise and charm of a young Givenchy in the 1950s alongside a 24-year-old Hepburn as imagined in her legendary costume for Sabrina. Over a 15-year career, Sophie Elgort built an extensive body of work spanning editorial photography, brand campaigns, and portrait commissions, with her work appearing in Elle Magazine, The Financial Times, Town & Country, international editions of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, and more. She is also the daughter of legendary fashion photographer Arthur Elgort and sister to Dinner with Audrey star Ansel Elgort.
Armitraj and Priya Amritraj will produce from Hyde Park, along with Andrew Lazar and Vanessa Humphrey from Mad Chance Productions and Andrew Calof from Wayfarer Studios. Justin Baldoni will Executive Produce from Wayfarer, reuniting with Lazar after their feature Clouds. Wayfarer Studios is financing the project. UTA Independent Film Group is representing the North American sale on behalf of the filmmakers.
