Exclusive | Bob Newhart’s former LA villa sells for $9.19M — in a prime neighborhood near Beverly Hills

A Los Angeles home once owned by the late Emmy- and Grammy-winning comedian and actor Bob Newhart has sold for $9.19 million. 

Newhart became a household name for his sitcom shows “The Bob Newhart Show” and “Newhart.” 

The charming beige stucco and terracotta Spanish Revival villa, at 10210 Century Woods Drive in Century City, sits on 1.6 acres.

It’s where Newhart — who died at age 94 in 2024 — lived with his late wife, Ginnie, who passed a year earlier, at age 82.

The couple had been married for 60 years after being set up on a blind date by fellow comedian Buddy Hackett. 

Built in 2016, the home is in the gated community of the Enclave at Century Woods, not far from the neighborhood’s upscale and popular Westfield Century City shopping mall — or from Beverly Hills. Residents over the years have included Don Rickles and Jane Fonda. 

The buyers, who declined to reveal their names, were represented by Rochelle Maize of Nourmand & Associates. 

At 6,601 square feet, the villa features four ensuite bedrooms, an elevator, a curved wrought iron staircase and plenty of storage space.

An open chef’s kitchen with a breakfast bar and a pantry anchors the home, along with a large family room and a dining area. 

Upstairs, a large main bedroom suite features a fireplace, a Juliet balcony, two ensuite baths and two walk-in closets — while a top floor office opens to a private patio with a fireplace. 

Outside, there’s a large courtyard, a back patio and a turfed dog run as well as a three-car garage. 

The Newharts purchased the home in 2016, the year it was built, as their primary residence, for $6.67 million. It first hit the market for $10.5 million last year.
