Andreina Bravo's 'Primera Cita' Voted Best New Latin Music of the Week

Andreína Bravo’s “Primera Cita” has topped Billboard’s new music Latin poll published on April 24.

In support of the weekly New Music Latin poll and playlist, curated with recommendations by Billboard Latin and Billboard Español editors, music fans voted for the Ecuadorian artist’s new single as their favorite music release of the week.

“Primera Cita,” which translates to “first date,” generated more than 87% of the vote, beating out other releases including a streak of new albums from Trueno, Quevedo, Fonseca, Draco Rosa and former CNCO member Erick Brian, to name just a few.

“Primera Cita” merges pop, house and merengue, bringing to life a flirty song ready for the summer season. Bravo chants about a first date that includes an ocean-view breakfast and a Martini Bellini toast. “That baby is what you need/ I can be your beautiful girl/ and at the end/ everything was made possible/ I knew it since the first date,” she sings.

In the music video by Ovenverse Creative Universe, Bravo is seen wearing a red bathing suit as she makes her sweet declaration from the paradise beaches of Ecuador.

“I made this project with all my heart. Go watch it, feel it, and give it lots of love,” she expressed in an Instagram post

“Primera Cita” comes on the heels of the emerging pop star winning the audience favorite award at the 2026 Premios REM in Ecuador earlier this month. “The most beautiful thing about this award is knowing that it came from the audience, from real love, and of the fans who are always with me,” she previously said about her supportive fan club, who picked “Primera Cita” as their favorite release.

Editor’s Note: The weekly New Music Latin poll results are posted if the poll generates more than 1,000 votes. See the full results below.
