The Met Gala is a little over a week away and the starry guest list is taking shape.
Page Six hears that “The Devil Wears Prada 2” stars Emily Blunt — along with husband John Krasinski— and Stanley Tucci will be attending. Vogue, which runs the lavish event, has been promoting the new movie, even putting star Meryl Streep on the cover with Anna Wintour.
Also set to take the steps at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on the first Monday of May are Angela Bassett, who made her Met Ball debut last year and “Proof” star Ayo Edebri, who first took the carpet in 2024, says a source.
We hear event regular Janelle Monae, “Euphoria” star Hunter Schafer, Solange, singer Troye Sivan, and Taylor Swift’s ex Joe Alwyn are also attending.
Also receiving a gilded invite for the exclusive event are Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, model Heidi Klum, “Michael” actress Laura Harrier, Patrick Schwarzenegger and influencer Emma Chamberlain.
Page Six exclusively reported earlier this month that other guests include Kim Kardashian, “Weapons” star Julia Garner, Hailey Bieber, model Alexa Chung, Gabrielle Union, “Ella McCay” actress Rebecca Hall, and Golden State Warrior Jimmy Butler.
As for who won’t be there? Billy Porter said in interview with “Bevalations” on Wednesday that he has not been invited back since the 2019 event.
Mayor Zohran Mamdani and first lady Rama Duwaji have been invited but are choosing not to attend, Page Six previously reported.
“He’s not coming,” said a source. “And it would be foolish if he did … can you imagine? It goes against everything he believes in.”
This year’s theme is “Costume Art,” with a dress code of “Fashion is Art.” It is being financed this year by Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos and his wife, Lauren Sánchez-Bezos. They’ve been named as lead donors and honorary co-chairs of the gala,
The show will pair approximately 200 garments and accessories with 200 artworks.
