Lestat De Lioncourt’s (Sam Reid) cover of Billy Idol’s “Dancing With Myself” is now available at major digital music platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music.
Released by AMC Global Media and Lakeshore Records, the third official single from AMC’s The Vampire Lestat, starring Reid as Lestat, joins the recently released “All Fall Down,” which plays behind the opening titles, and “Long Face,” both with original music and lyrics by Daniel Hart and performed by Reid.
The latest chapter in Rice’s Immortal Universe follows Reid’s Lestat as the world’s first immortal rock star on an electric multi-city tour, while he’s haunted by “muses” from his rebellious past. As his band’s popularity and star power rise, so does Lestat’s influence over vampires and humans alike, leaving others to contend with Lestat’s power in the face of the Great Conversion, an unnatural surge in the vampire population.
The latest trailer for the latest installment features Lestat performing “Dancing With Myself.”
The Vampire Lestat is technically the third season of Interview with the Vampire, which was renamed in honor of the book title on which the season is based.

Hart and showrunner Rolin Jones have been collaborating on Interview with the Vampire since 2021. Season 3 puts Hart’s music front and center. He and Jones worked side by side in the writers room this year — with Hart co-writing one of the episodes — writing over 20 songs for the Vampire Lestat to sing.
Hart’s musical career started on the road, as a hired gun for bands such as St. Vincent, Broken Social Scene, Other Lives, and The Polyphonic Spree. He has also fronted his own band, Dark Rooms, since 2013. Hart also is the Musical Director for the onscreen band in Season 3 which Lestat fronts.
The Vampire Lestat is executive produced by Mark Johnson, creator, writer and showrunner Rolin Jones, Hannah Moscovitch, along with Christopher Rice and the late Anne Rice.
