Sabrina Carpenter Apologizes After Backlash Over Calling Cultural Cheer ‘Weird’ During Coachella Performance!

Sabrina Carpenter is speaking out after sparking controversy at Coachella!

If you have not heard, the pop star came under fire after headlining the music festival for the first time in Indio, California, on Friday night, all because she called a fan’s cultural Arabic cheer “weird” and a yodel. Oh, and that she “didn’t like it.” Yeesh. Following the incident, people took to social media to call her out for being “ignorant” and “so odd.”

However, Sabrina is now insisting she could not hear and meant no harm by her comments! The House Tour singer took to X (Twitter) on Saturday to address the backlash, saying:

“My apologies I didn’t see this person with my eyes and couldn’t hear clearly. My reaction was pure confusion, sarcasm and not ill intended. Could have handled it better! Now I know what a Zaghrouta is! I welcome all cheers and yodels from here on out.”

It makes sense! We can imagine it is hard to hear on that stage! See the post (below):
