This isn’t gonna help him book future gigs, that’s for sure…
Wireless Festival is losing some MAJOR sponsorships following the announcement that Kanye West is going to be a headliner. YIKES…
After receiving backlash from music fans unhappy with the controversial musician being a part of the London festival’s lineup, Pepsi announced it would be withdrawing its sponsorship from the event. A spokesperson for the brand told The Independent:
“Pepsi has decided to withdraw its sponsorship of Wireless Festival.”

Following this decision, another major brand decided to cut ties. Diageo, parent company of liquor brands such as Johnnie Walker and Captain Morgan, said in their own statement to the outlet:
“We have informed the organisers of our concerns and as it stands, Diageo will not sponsor the 2026 Wireless festival.”
Whoa!
These are two huge players in the festival’s ability to continue! So far, Wireless Festival hasn’t reacted to the decisions, but we can’t imagine the people putting it on will be happy with their big sponsors backing out.
Ye has been desperate to make a big comeback following what seemed like endless controversy, even going so far as to take out a full page ad to share his apology with the world. Or at least to the readers of The Wall Street Journal. But clearly the people at Pepsi aren’t buyin’ it. Have U??
