Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band kicked off the Land of Hope and Dreams tour in Minneapolis with, as promised, a defiantly political message. Before playing a single note, the Boss lambasted the “corrupt, incompetent, racist, reckless, and treasonous administration” and called for the audience to “join with us in choosing hope over fear, democracy over authoritarianism.”

The show opened with Edwin Starr’s “War,” and he performed plenty of politically charged songs like “American Skin (41 Shots),” the recently released “Streets of Minneapolis,” and of course, “Born in the U.S.A.” While the overtones of this tour clearly vary from a standard album tour, Springsteen hasn’t deviated from the one thing his live shows are known for: marathon setlists. Springsteen performed 27 songs, falling a few minutes shy of his typical three-hour shows.

There’s clear significance to the opening and closing dates of Springteen’s tour; he opened in Minneapolis, the site of one of ICE’s most brutal sieges, and he’ll wrap up the tour in May in Washington, D.C., the nation’s capital.

If you’re looking to buy tickets to the tour, here’s what you need to know.
