The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is finally here, serving as a sequel to the successful The Super Mario Bros. Movie from 2023.

This film takes inspo from Nintendo’s Super Mario Galaxy game down to the title and features beloved plumber Mario, voiced by Chris Pratt, and his mustachioed brother Luigi, voiced by Charlie Day, along with the ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom, Princess Peach, voiced by Anya Taylor-Joy. New characters only seen in the game are also featured in the new iteration, including Princess Rosalina, played by Brie Larson and Bowser Jr. by Benny Safdie.

Hardcore Mario fans are already sweeping up tickets for the sequel in hordes. While we can’t exactly time travel to see how this sequel goes, we can rely on data from the first film. According to Variety, the film made $1.3 billion at the worldwide box office, surpassing giant films like Frozen. The film became the highest-grossing film based on a video game and one of the highest-grossing animated movies of all time.

The music from the OG film was also a hit with audiences. “Peaches” recorded for The Super Mario Bros. Movie by Jack Black peaked on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 56 in April 2023. While the track wasn’t featured in the OG games, it proves just how popular and impactful Mario-related content, music or otherwise, can be even after 40 years.

The lamp features power-up motifs, including a mushroom that helps Mario grow, a super star that makes him invincible and a fire flower that allows the character to throw fireballs.

This board game is like if Uno and Mario had a baby. The family fun game is the Uno you know and love, except the cards feature some of the Mario franchise’s most iconic characters like Mario and Luigi, along with Toad and Princess Peach. The themed card pack comes in a collector’s tin with Princess Peach’s castle in the background.

Old Navy has a couple of Mario-themed pieces available, but this vintage-inspired tee has to be our favorite. The shirt is currently 40% off and comes for XS to XL for kids. The stylish merch comes in cream and red with retro Mario graphics and motifs from the game on the front and back. This tee is meant to look like a ringer tee with the contrasting trim throughout.

The bottoms are a galactic purple and feature a Rosalina print, a character from Super Mario Galaxy, alongside her star Luma companion. These PJs feature pockets and an elasticized waist for comfort. A drawstring closure allows wearers to adjust the fit.

Another Mario-themed board game, this time from Tomy. This Pop-Up Super Mario Game retails for $17.99 and works similarly to board games like Pop-Up Pirate, where players need to stick coins into slots around the warp pipe carefully so they don’t trigger Mario, who is hiding inside the pipe, waiting to pop up.

Nintendo launched this talking flower in March 2026, inspired by the same character from the 2023 Switch hit Super Mario Bros. Wonder. This flower retails for $34.99 and essentially works like a smart companion. It talks to itself and also responds to users. The little flower companion can set alarms, tell the weather, announce the time and even features a music mode that plays music from some iconic Mario games. The talking flower is a lot like an Alexa, except it’s Mario-themed.

Novelty mugs are a frequent purchase for many of our ShopBillboard staff. You can never go wrong with whimsical drinkware, especially when it’s shaped like a Mario warp pipe. This mug holds 15oz of liquid and is both microwave and dishwasher safe. The mug is meant to look like a warp pipe from one of the original Mario games, hence the pixelation.

Yoshi is a fan-favorite character from the Mario franchise. The dinosaur character is Mario’s companion. He lays eggs and uses his tongue to swing from things, grab people and power-ups and taunt his enemies. This neon sign encapsulates Yoshi’s cuteness down to his little yellow shoes and Koopa-esque shell. The sign is 12.40″ x 16.93″ for reference and can be hung on the wall or set on a desk or side table for a pop of color.

There are plenty of accessories that can be added to your Switch, Switch Lite or Switch 2 to enhance your gaming experience like a Pro Controller. Speaking of upgrading your Switch setup, these Mario Kart-inspired earbuds should also up your game.
