In early May 2025, an image of Zendaya wearing a large hat started to go viral on TikTok and quickly developed into the “Zendaya Theory” or the “Zendaya Hat Theory”. Thousands of users began to theorise on the meaning of the Zendaya image from 2014 and it’s alleged dark lore, which went on to confuse the wider internet, as they were told “don’t forget to smile” by these odd accounts. This video is a deep dive into the Zendaya Hat Theory TikTok Meme, where I will attempt to explain what it all means.
