… Says ‘Zero Truth’ to Kelley’s Abuse Claim

Scott Wolf‘s wife Kelley made an allegation of abuse against her husband Friday prior to her being hospitalized for an evaluation … but the actor’s close pal Billy Bush says the accusation has zero merit.

Here’s the deal … Utah County Sheriff’s deputies responded Friday morning to the Sundance Resort after receiving a report of a female who needed some help when she made “concerning comments to a family member.” Kelley then streamed her interaction with the deputies on her IG Story … and that’s when she made the allegation that Scott “abused” her.

Not long after, Billy made an IG post of his own, addressing the matter by telling his followers that Scott is a close, personal friend — and in his opinion, there’s “zero truth” to Kelley’s accusation.

Billy also noted he allegedly talked to Kelley — although he did not specify when exactly — and said he was glad she is “getting the help she needs.” He also said her parents will be a great support system for her.

As for Kelley … she posted a follow-up on her Instagram Story with another post, saying was taken against her will, and pleads “Please check in on my kids” … before declaring she’s happy, “Happier thank I have ever been.”

Prior to her interaction with authorities and hospitalization … Kelley dropped the divorce bombshell herself earlier this week, with Scott following up a day later, saying filing the papers was the hardest thing he’s ever done.

The “Doc” actor told TMZ their three kids was his top priority — something Kelley echoed in her own statement, even giving Scott props as a dad and partner.

We’ve reached out to a rep for Kelley about Billy’s pushback … so far, no word back.

Billy Bush is sharing an update hours after Kelley Wolf was detained by police and taken to a hospital in Utah.

In an Instagram video on June 13, the Extra host, 53, shared that he is good friends with Kelley’s estranged husband, actor Scott Wolf. Scott and Kelley announced their split after 21 years of marriage earlier this week and share three kids: Jackson, 16, Miller, 12, and Lucy, 11.

“I know both Kelley and Scott very, very well,” Bush said. “Scott is truly one of my very best friends, and was just here recently watching the Masters with his children. We went to the LAFC soccer game with the kids.”

He called Scott “the kindest, sweetest person,” adding, “He’s everything you see and think you know about him when you see him. He is all of that and more.”

“And Kelley is getting the help she needs,” Bush noted. “And I can tell you, I talked to her, talked to her myself, one on one personally about it. She’s got excellent parents. They’re on it.”

“She’s a beautiful person, and so is Scott,” he adds.

Bush’s message comes hours after Kelley, 48, was detained and handcuffed by sheriffs in Utah County, Utah.

Law enforcement announced in a press release that Kelley was admitted to a local hospital after being detained.

In a statement, authorities said, “Deputies responded to the Sundance Resort for a report of a female that needed some help. Upon speaking with the female, our Deputies learned that she had made concerning comments to a family member, and she also made similar comments to our Deputies.”

“For that reason, our Deputies transported the female to a local hospital.”

Following the incident, Kelley posted a photo on Instagram Stories, which showed her belongings in what appeared to be a hospital room.

“This is horrible,” Kelley wrote in block text across the post. “I have been taken against my will. Please check on my kids.”

She added, “Also… I am happy!! Happier than I have ever been.”

Kelley continued, “I have NO idea why or how this is happening in AMERICA. I am compliant, calm and respectful, and hopefully this is all sorted very quickly. In the meantime, be kind to each other. This is one of the darkest things I’ve ever experienced.”

Kelley has not responded to requests for comment from PEOPLE, and a rep for Scott did not immediately respond.

The incident first came to light when Kelley shared a video on her Instagram Live, which was subsequently posted to her main account, where she was seen being detained by authorities.

“Oh my God. Don’t. Oh my God, this is not happening,” he mother of three said in the video, which only showed a black screen until the very end of the clip, when she is seen with Utah County sheriffs deputies.

“This is shameful, gentlemen,” Kelley said. “Look at this, look at this woman, this is shameful. Be ashamed, be ashamed of yourselves, gentlemen.”

One officer explained to Kelley that she is “not going to jail” and that they are going to get her “some help.” She then replied, “I know what I’m doing, I’ve done this. This is my job.”

The deputy was then heard telling Kelley that she had “made some comments to your dad and comments to people that are concerning,” so they “want to make sure you’re okay.”

After Kelley was informed by another officer that her phone was recording, she said she “didn’t mean to” record and asked that the phone be turned off.
