Kevin Hart showcased a masterclass of hosting abilities at the 2025 BET Awards — an opinion shared by his celebrity peers in real-time!!!

Kevin Gates told us the hosting magic is all in the name, Tiny Harris and Jermaine Dupri felt this year’s show was the best in a long time and Tamar Braxton thinks Kevin should return in 2026 … it was a hit!!!

Kendrick Lamar showed up to accept a slew of awards, and A-listers such as Mariah Carey, Snoop Dogg, SZA, Lizzo and Keke Palmer also boosted the star power on the red carpet and inside the venue.

Mariah Carey is ‘Obsessed’ with herself and proud … celebrating her “iconicness” as she took home her first-ever BET Award Monday night.

Check out her spirited speech … the pop star is elated to accept her Ultimate Icon Award at the 2025 show, sharing an overarching message — Don’t let anyone dull your shine.

She noted … “It took me a while, but I finally realized life is far too short to live for anyone else’s approval, which is something I always did. So I decided to own who I am. My extra-ness, my fabulousness, my and yes, my success and my iconicness.”

Mariah encouraged people to be shamelessly themselves as well, adding … “Love and respect yourself. Be a diva, be a boss, be anything you wanna be. But be iconic while you’re doing it.”

MC received the special award along with Snoop Dogg, Kirk Franklin and Jamie Foxx — the latter of whom gave a tear-jerker of a speech about having a second chance at life after suffering a nearly fatal stroke.

She shimmered across the stage in a metallic gold minidress dress she paired with blinged-out hoop earrings and layered bracelets.

Tyler Perry minced no words at the BET Awards Monday night … taking the chance to rip into President Donald Trump‘s America for erasing Black history right before the country’s eyes.

Here’s what went down — TP hit the stage and gave an impassioned speech following a sweet story about him and his son leaving footprints in the sand together.

In the speech, he likened the footprints to those his fellow Black Americans have left on the country through its history, while delivering a sobering warning … “They are removing our books from libraries, they are removing our stories and our history, they are removing our names from government buildings. It’s as if someone wants to erase our footprints.”

He reminded the audience of tragedies the Black community has endured due to people wanting to keep them repressed, such as the violent 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre — when businesses on Oklahoma’s “Black Wall Street” were burned to the ground in an effort to halt Black progress.

Jamie Foxx let the tears flow on stage at the 2025 BET Awards Monday night … breaking down while accepting the Ultimate Icon Award and recalling his near-death experience in 2023.

The comedian and actor graciously accepted the trophy from Stevie Wonder and immediately got vulnerable … noting he thought of his stroke and subsequent hospitalization when the “In Memoriam” tribute was playing — ‘cause just two years ago, he almost didn’t make it.

He debated … “I was like man, that could have been me. But I don’t know why I went through what I went through, but I know my second chance I’m not going turn down. I’m not going to turn down.”

He also shared the powerful promise he made to God when he realized he was getting a second crack at life, explaining … “I said, for whatever reason you put this on me, I promise I’m gonna do right.”

JF said he won’t forget where he comes from, and thanked his fellow black folks for supporting him through it all — namely his comeback Netflix special “Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was… “

And with his voice cracking, he made sure his older daughter, Corinne, knew how much her support helped him, saying … “You’ve always taken a backseat to everything. But when you needed to drive it, you drove.”

At that point, everyone in the room needed tissues.

As you’ll recall … Jamie was rushed to the hospital for a serious mystery illness in April 2023. He revealed he had a brain bleed and a stroke during his Netflix special, which debuted in December 2024.

He suffered his medical emergency while filming “Back in Action” with Cameron Diaz but was able to finish his scenes once recovered. The film premiered in January of this year.

Doechii used her spotlight moment at the 2025 BET Awards to stick it to President Donald Trump … blaming him for wreaking havoc right outside the building!!!

The Top Dawg Entertainment-signed rapper was awarded Best Female Hip Hop Artist on Monday night and launched into political blast on the podium … scolding “Trump’s ruthless attacks” and called out the government for masking the actions under the guise of “law and order.”

As we told you earlier, BET moved forward with the awards in downtown Los Angeles at the Peacock Theater just hours after fiery clashes from protesters and police and Doechii says couldn’t ignore the world around her.

Kevin Hart is coming out swinging at the BET Awards … poking fun at Diddy, Cardi B and Kanye West in his opening monologue.

The comedian started off with a Diddy joke … telling the crowd at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles they would be wise to avoid any after-parties where things get “slippery.”

Kevin said we’ve all been learning a lot about folks recently and said other things to steer clear from include yachts, boats and pink stuff … name-dropping Cardi and referencing the recent controversy involving her boyfriend, NFL player Stefon Diggs.

It’s interesting … Kevin used Waymos in his joke … and some of the driverless cars got torched during this weekend’s protests over immigration raids in L.A. … with some demonstrations going down close to the BET Awards venue.
